ABOUT the sTUDIO
Grosse Ile Academy of Dance was opened by Dawn Greene in 1989 and is now owned and run by her Granddaughter Hilari Van Bynen. GIAD has been downriver's leading dance studio choice for over 30 years!
The Grosse Ile Academy offers exceptional dance training for students from 3 years old to professionals in ballet, pointe, lyrical, tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, musical theater and acro/gymnastics. Dance classes are held in one of three state of the art rooms specifically designed for dancers with floating floors and high ceilings. Their teaching staff is also the best around! All staff members have been trained by Dawn Greene, June Smith, or Hilari Van Bynen! Their focus on strong technique along with clean tasteful choreography has been widely recognized. GIAD's competition team has been awarded both regional and national high score awards, along with winning multiple technical excellence awards! They have also won many creative concept, and choreography awards! Competing is a wonderful way to perform more, and show their love for the sport!
